About The Books

The Super Cool Scientists book series celebrates today’s women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Each volume profiles 22 dynamic women in STEM with a full page, colorable illustration and a full page biography based on a first person interview. The stories share what the scientists do each day for their jobs, talk about how they got interested in science in the first place, and dive into what they like to do for fun with their friends and families outside of work.

The books are geared for middle school comprehension and are a great resources for classrooms of younger and older students as well. Elementary students enjoy the early exposure to different types of STEM careers and STEM role models. College students enjoy the inclusion in STEM mission and the calming coloring aspect. Teachers can adapt existing activities in the classroom to use the books as resources to introduce STEM concepts, talk about the diversity of STEM careers, and launch research or storytelling projects.

Super Cool Scientists books are available on Amazon and in bulk from Sara MacSorley directly. There are special packages for teacher classroom sets and wholesale pricing is available.
